Heart of Lions head coach, Bashir Hayford, has boldly declared his side’s ambition to lift the Ghana Premier League title at the end of the 2024/25 season, following their spirited performance against Asante Kotoko on Sunday.

The Kpando-based outfit currently sits third on the league standings with 41 points from 25 matches, keeping them firmly in contention as the season nears its climax.

In their latest matchday 25 encounter, Lions were held to a 1-1 draw by Kotoko in an exciting fixture at the Kpando Stadium.

Despite the shared points, Hayford remained upbeat about his team’s chances of going all the way.

“When we get the Premier League title, we will win it. We are targeting on winning more of the remaining matches and if we are up there at the end of the season, then we take it,” Hayford said confidently after the match.

With nine matches remaining, Hayford’s men remain firmly in the hunt and will now shift their focus to their upcoming clash against Berekum Chelsea.
