Former Team Manager of Accra Hearts of Oak, Sabahn Quaye, has shed light on internal challenges affecting the club, pointing to a culture of backstabbing that he believes is hindering progress.

His comments come at a time when the club is in the midst of rebuilding, having recently appointed Mas-Ud Didi Dramani as head coach in hopes of restoring glory in the upcoming 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.

In a candid interview on Fire for Fire on Adom TV, Quaye acknowledged the efforts of Board Chairman Togbe Afede XIV but lamented the lack of unity and trust within the club’s current structure.

“Togbe Afede is doing well so far but there is a lot of backstabbing in the team; from the board to the playing body. It was not like that during my time as Team Manager,” Quaye stated.

Quaye, known for his firm but sincere leadership during his tenure, emphasized that cohesion and integrity were key values that once held the club together—qualities he feels are now lacking.
