Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko SC have bolstered their midfield with the signing of highly-rated youngster Seth Kwadwo from Bechem United in the ongoing summer transfer window.

The 23-year-old has penned a four-year deal with the Porcupine Warriors, becoming the club’s sixth signing ahead of the 2025/26 season.

Kwadwo joins a list of recent recruits that includes goalkeeper Aziz Dari Haruna, Zackaria Fuseini, Johnson Owusu Oppong, Francis Acquah, and Hubert Gyau—as Kotoko aim to rebuild a competitive squad for both the domestic league and the CAF Confederation Cup campaign.

Kwadwo spent the last three seasons with Bechem United, where he made 72 Premier League appearances and grew into one of the league’s standout midfielders. His debut campaign in the 2022/23 season was particularly impressive, as he scored three goals, provided 10 assists, and earned six MVP awards to win the club’s Player of the Season accolade.

Despite struggling with injuries during parts of the 2024/25 season, Kwadwo managed to return strongly in the second half, featuring in 11 league matches and reaffirming his importance to the team.

His consistent performances also earned him a call-up to the Black Galaxies, Ghana’s home-based national team.

With the 2025/26 campaign fast approaching, Kotoko’s acquisition of Seth Kwadwo signals intent and ambition, as the club seeks to challenge on all fronts under coach Prosper Narteh Ogum.
