Antoine Semenyo has enjoyed a dream beginning to his spell with Manchester City after being named the Premier League Player of the Month for February.

The Ghana international has made an immediate impact since completing his January move from AFC Bournemouth, delivering a series of strong performances during his first full month at the Etihad Stadium.

Semenyo featured in five league matches in February, scoring three goals and registering one assist. His goals came against Tottenham Hotspur, Fulham FC, and Leeds United, highlighting his quick adaptation to his new environment.

His rapid influence has added new attacking depth to the squad managed by Pep Guardiola, with many observers already tipping the Ghanaian forward to become an important figure in City’s plans.

The award is also notable for the club, as Semenyo becomes the first Manchester City player other than Erling Haaland to win the honour since Raheem Sterling claimed it in December 2021.

Semenyo emerged victorious from a competitive shortlist that included Viktor Gyökeres, Nico O’Reilly, Dango Ouattara, Benjamin Šeško, and Virgil van Dijk.

With the Premier League season entering a decisive stage, Semenyo will now look to maintain his impressive form as Manchester City continue their push for silverware.
