Owner and bankroller of King Faisal FC, Alhaji Karim Grusah, has revealed that he has officially petitioned FIFA over the Ghana Football Association’s (GFA) distribution of buses to selected clubs.

The GFA provided buses to various football clubs in Ghana as part of its Bus Acquisition Strategy in November 2024. The GFA President, Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, stated that the bus initiative is part of the association’s broader strategy to empower clubs and ensure sustainable development of the game.

While the initiative has been lauded by many, there have also been some concerns raised regarding the condition of the buses.

Speaking in an interview on Sportsnite on Asempa FM, the veteran football administrator questioned the fairness and transparency of the initiative, which saw some Ghanaian clubs receive buses procured through the FIFA Forward Programme.

“I have petitioned FIFA over the GFA buses distributed to clubs,” he stated.

Grusah believes the process lacked equity and could compromise the integrity of football governance in the country. His action comes amid ongoing scrutiny of GFA leadership and decisions, especially concerning resource allocation and club development support.
