Albert Amoah Admits He Was Worried Before Scoring Kotoko’s Winner Against Hearts of Oak
Asante Kotoko striker Albert Amoah expressed his pride and determination following his last-gasp winner against arch-rivals Hearts of Oak in a tense encounter at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.
The decisive moment unfolded in added time when a lapse in communication between Hearts’ defender Kelvin Osei Asibey and goalkeeper Benjamin Asare handed Amoah the perfect opportunity.
The forward capitalized on the error, slotting the ball into the net and sparking wild celebrations among the home supporters.
Reflecting on the dramatic game, Amoah shared his emotions and the motivation that drove him to deliver in the dying moments of the game.
“I’m very proud. We created a lot of chances and we weren’t able to score and I was very worried,” Amoah admitted.
“But my teammates and coach told me that it is not over, so that is why I came in very strong.” He added.
Albert Amoah’s seventh goal of the season have now moved Kotoko up on the league log to the 6th position with 21 points while Hearts of Oak descended to the 7th position
