Ghana U-20 winger Abdul Hakim Sulemana has expressed his ambition to play in the English Premier League, following an impressive showing at the 2025 CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Egypt.

Sulemana, who currently plies his trade with Danish Superliga side Randers FC, played a pivotal role in Ghana’s campaign and found the back of the net in their 2-2 quarterfinal draw against hosts Egypt. Despite the Black Satellites bowing out 5-4 in the ensuing penalty shootout, Sulemana’s individual performance caught the attention of many.

Speaking to CAF Media, the 19-year-old winger opened up about his long-term goals and the influence of his older brother, Black Stars winger Kamaldeen Sulemana.

“My dream is to reach the Premier League, just like Kamal [Deen Sulemana], but first, I want to become a regular at Randers and prove I can make a difference,” Sulemana said.

The former Right to Dream Academy graduate joined Olympique Lyon’s youth setup before making a move to Randers FC in 2024. Since arriving in Denmark, he has made 16 appearances and scored once, steadily building a reputation as one of Ghana’s most exciting young talents.

Despite the team’s inability to secure a spot at the upcoming FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile, Sulemana remains optimistic about his future.
