Abdul Fatawu Issahaku Expresses Disappointment Over Leicester Fans Leaving Early
Ghana winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has voiced his frustration with the behavior of some Leicester City supporters during their English Championship clash against Preston North End on Saturday.
The Foxes suffered a 2-1 defeat at Deepdale, with many fans exiting the stadium prematurely as the game unfolded.
Preston took the lead as early as the seventh minute when Alfie Divine found the back of the net. Leicester, however, equalized an hour later through Jeremy Monga — but by then, some fans had already left the stands before Milutin Osmanjic compounded Leicester’s woes with a late winner for Preston.
Issahaku, unhappy with the reaction of supporters, took to Instagram to share his disappointment.
“So disappointed about the game yesterday. But as we says and believe that FOXES never quit, then is too early at this stage of the season seeing fans leave stadium so early when we are down by 1,” he posted.
The 20-year-old further stressed the importance of unity between the team and its supporters, especially during challenging moments.
“This is the best time we need you, You can’t be celebrating win with the team and don’t want to loose with the team. This is a game of football and you can’t be winning every time so we need everyone in both side so you can be proud to celebrate victories with the team, this is the time to stick together to be strong to make this team get what they deserve thanks to all the traveling fans for you amazing support but we need more,” he added.
Despite the setback, Issahaku remains a key figure in Leicester’s promotion push as the Foxes aim for a swift return to the Premier League.
