Zipporah Ayantoya Confident Despite Pressure Ahead of WAFU Zone B U-17 Girls Cup
Ghana Black Maidens striker, Zipporah Ayantoya, has acknowledged the pressure her team faces as they prepare for the opening match of the 2024 WAFU Zone B U-17 Girls Cup.
The Maidens will face Benin in the opener of the tournament which starts today at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence, Prampram
In an interview with Ghana Football Association’s official platform, Ayantoya expressed her excitement and readiness to help her team succeed in the tournament.
“I am excited that after some years we are finally back again for a tournament, and we are really looking forward to the tournament ahead,” she stated.
Despite the anticipation, the young striker remained confident. “Of course, there is pressure on us—not in terms of being afraid of our opponents but pressure to win because if you host, there is much expectation from you,” she added.
