Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has revealed his plans for Ghana’s squad ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, highlighting the values of loyalty, trust, and consistency as key pillars in his selection process.

His comments underscore a deep appreciation for the group that battled through the demanding qualification campaign, ensuring Ghana’s place among the 48 nations heading to Canada, Mexico, and the United States next summer.

Speaking to the media, the German-born tactician revealed that his decision-making will be guided by the commitment shown by players who stood firm throughout Ghana’s qualification journey.

“I don’t know what will happen in 8 or 9 months, but I guess the core of this squad will stay. They deserve it. They were there in difficult times. They played all the qualifiers, so this is what I will put in the whole box of deciding what to do,” Otto remarked.

As Ghana prepares for another historic World Cup appearance, Addo’s focus on stability and loyalty could provide the foundation for a confident and motivated squad ready to make a strong impact on football’s biggest stage.
