“Support the players in tough times”- Daniel Nii Adjei to Kotoko fans
Former Asante Kotoko midfield maestro, Daniel Nii Adjei has asked the supporters of the club to stand by the team in challenging times.
The Porcupine Warriors lost 1-0 to Heart of Lions in Obuasi in the match week 9 fixture of the Ghana Premier League.
The defeat marks Asante Kotoko’s second defeat on a row this season and also and end to their unbeaten run at home.
Speaking to Kessben FM, Nii Adjei says the team needs the supporters more than ever as they find themselves in difficulties.
“I will urge the fans to rally behind the team in difficult times. I don’t think the players will deliberately lose a game. They lose their bonuses when they suffer defeat and also brings their enthusiasm down.” He said.
“As supporters of the club, we always have to cheer the players up in tough times. We shouldn’t leave them in times of difficulties. The fans should keep supporting the team.”
The Porcupine Warriors have descended the league log to the third position with 15 points. The Porcupine Warriors will play their next match against Bechem United.
