Vice Chairman of the Black Stars Management Committee, Stephen Appiah, has voiced his belief that Ghana will book a place at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The Black Stars resumed camp on Monday at the Accra Sports Stadium ahead of their double-header against Chad and Mali in the ongoing qualifiers. The two fixtures are considered decisive for Ghana’s chances of reaching the tournament in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.

After observing the team’s first training session, the former Black Stars captain praised the players’ attitude and commitment, stressing that the squad is fully prepared for the challenge ahead.

“Talking to them, they are ready to play the two games, and we all know that we have two crucial games that will determine our chances for the World Cup,” Appiah told reporters.

“We believe that the guys will make it,” he added confidently.

Ghana will first travel to N’Djamena to face Chad on Thursday, September 4, at the Stade Olympique Maréchal Idriss Déby Itno, before returning to Accra to host Mali at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday, September 8.

Victory in both matches would put Ghana in a commanding position to secure qualification for their fifth appearance at the global showpiece.
