President Mahama Visits Black Stars Camp, Inspires Team Ahead of World Cup Qualifiers

President John Dramani Mahama paid a visit to the Black Stars on Wednesday to offer words of encouragement as the team prepares for their crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Ghana’s national team is set to face Chad and Madagascar in must-win Group I fixtures during the March international break.

Head coach Otto Addo and his technical staff opened camp in Accra on Monday to begin preparations for these pivotal matches.

As part of his visit, President Mahama was warmly welcomed by Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku before addressing the squad. Accompanied by Sports Minister Kofi Adams, he reassured the players and coaching staff of the country’s unwavering support as they gear up for the challenge ahead.

The Black Stars will take on Chad at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, March 21, with kickoff set for 7:00 PM. The team will then travel to Morocco to play Madagascar in their next fixture.
