Police Ladies have emerged as champions of the Southern Zone in the 2024/25 Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League after an outstanding 18-week campaign, culminating in a decisive 2-0 win over FC Epiphany Warriors on the final day of the season.

The victory, secured at the Adjiriganor Astro Turf in Accra, ensured Police Ladies finished two points ahead of defending champions Hasaacas Ladies, who were held to a 1-1 draw by Jonina Ladies in their must-win final game.

Heading into the final match week, both Police Ladies and Hasaacas Ladies were level on 36 points, with Hasaacas leading only on goal difference. However, the draw in Sekondi proved costly for the record champions, allowing Police Ladies to seize the title outright.

Police Ladies ended the season with an impressive record: 11 wins, 6 draws, and just 1 defeat, amassing a total of 39 points. Their consistency and discipline throughout the season have earned them their first-ever Southern Zone title and a historic place in the grand finale of the Women’s Premier League.

They will now square off against Northern Zone champions and two-time defending national champions, Ampem Darkoa Ladies, in the championship final set for May.
