Former Ghana Football Association (GFA) Vice President, Fred Pappoe, has shed light on the complexities of managing a national team compared to club football, particularly in player selection for the Black Stars.

With the Black Stars preparing for crucial fixtures, Pappoe’s insights reinforce the importance of a thorough scouting and selection process to build a competitive team

Speaking on Asempa FM’s Sportsnite Show, Pappoe pointed out that while club coaches have their players available on a daily basis, national team selectors must take a more meticulous approach.

“The Black Stars’ technical team must monitor performances, evaluate attitudes, and assess key factors before selection,” he explained.

He emphasized that assembling a national team is not just about picking talented players but also ensuring they are in good form and committed to the cause. His comments come amid ongoing discussions about Ghana’s squad selection and player dedication.
