Wilson Arthur, chairman of the FA Cup Committee, has expressed his excitement over the shocking results that have injected unpredictability into the competition.

This year’s FA Cup has been nothing short of electrifying, with underdogs defying expectations and knocking out some of the tournament’s biggest teams.

Arthur pointed to a series of surprising outcomes that have kept fans captivated, particularly Bibiani Gold Stars’ unexpected exit despite their impressive form in the Ghana Premier League.

“What surprises me is Gold Stars. The form they have in the Premier League—they are league toppers and playing very well. When they got the pairing against Samartex in Aboi, everybody thought Samartex would beat them, but they managed to kick them out,” he told Peace FM.

“Look at the Hearts-Golden Kicks game. These results show that in the FA Cup, anything can happen.”

The action continues this weekend with an exciting lineup of matches:

  • Saturday, March 29:

    • Attram De Visser vs. PAC Academy – 3:00 p.m.

    • Berekum Chelsea vs. Bechem United – 7:00 p.m. (Regional derby)

  • Sunday, March 30:

    • Karela United vs. Golden Kicks – 3:00 p.m.

    • Asante Kotoko vs. True Democracy – 7:00 p.m. (Highly anticipated clash)

With unpredictability at an all-time high, the FA Cup continues to deliver thrilling moments, and fans can expect more surprises as the tournament progresses.
