Kudus faces extended two-game suspension
Ghana’s Mohammed Kudus has been hit with a further two matches suspension after being given an initial three matches ban for his conduct against Tottenham Hotspurs.
Kudus was given a red card in the 82nd minute of the game after kicking slapping Spurs defender Van de Ven and shoving Pape Matar Sarr.
The attacker was given a three-match ban but upon further investigations by the FA, a two-game suspension has been added. The former Ajax man has also been fined £60,000 and will miss the EPL games against Newcastle and Arsenal.
“West Ham United and Mohammed Kudus have been sanctioned in relation to incidents during their Premier League fixture against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday 19 October. It was also alleged that Mohammed Kudus acted in an improper manner and/or used violent conduct after the offence that he was sent off for. The forward admitted to this charge, and he has been given a two-match suspension and £60,000 fine by the Regulatory Commission.” A statement from the FA read.
Kudus will return on 3rd December and may feature for West Ham against Leicester City.
