Asante Kotoko head coach Karim Zito has revealed that preparations for the team’s final Ghana Premier League match of the season against Vision FC are also being used as a strategic buildup toward the FA Cup final.

The Porcupine Warriors will bring their league campaign to a close this weekend before turning their full attention to the MTN FA Cup final against Golden Kicks, scheduled for Saturday, June 15, at the University of Ghana Stadium in Legon.

With the league title already out of reach, Kotoko’s hopes of ending the season with silverware—and securing a return to continental competition—hinge on winning the FA Cup.

“We are still preparing for our last game and we want to use the preparation for Vision to face the FA [Cup final] that we are going to next week after Vision, so we are preparing seriously,” Coach Zito told Asante Kotoko Media.

The experienced tactician, who recently took over the reins at Kotoko, is aiming to guide the club to a strong finish in both competitions. Victory in the FA Cup would not only salvage pride but also mark a significant achievement in his short spell at the club.
