Karela Coach Nurudeen Amadu Targets Stability and Mid-Table Finish
Karela United head coach Nurudeen Amadu has underlined stability and consistency as the club’s core ambitions for the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
The Pride and Passion endured a difficult campaign last year, narrowly staving off relegation, but have begun the new season on a positive note with four points from their opening two fixtures — a run that has lifted them to third place on the standings.
Reflecting on their progress, Amadu stressed that avoiding another relegation scrap is the club’s foremost priority, while a mid-table finish would signal clear growth.
“We escaped relegation by the skin of our teeth last season, and that is not a situation we want to find ourselves in again,” Amadu told Graphic Sports.
“Starting well has given us belief, but the real work is ensuring consistency, especially at home. If we can win the majority of our matches at Aliu Mahama, then we can fight for a respectable position on the league log,” he added.
Karela United’s next test comes on Sunday when they host Medeama SC at the Aliu Mahama Stadium in a Matchday 3 encounter, kicking off at 15:00 GMT. The club will look to maintain their unbeaten run and continue building momentum early in the campaign.
