Hohoe United No-Show Hands Eleven Wonders Walkover Victory
Eleven Wonders are set to receive maximum points after their Ghana Premier League opponents, Hohoe United, failed to show up for their scheduled matchday fixture.
In line with competition regulations, Eleven Wonders reported to the venue, completed all pre-match formalities, and remained on the pitch until the final whistle, fulfilling the requirements needed to claim a walkover victory.
With Hohoe United absent, the result is expected to be officially recorded as a forfeit, with Three points and three goals likely to be awarded to Eleven Wonders, subject to confirmation by the Ghana Football Association.
Despite the administrative win, the outcome has little impact on Eleven Wonders’ campaign, as the club had already been relegated prior to the fixture.
Hohoe United’s failure to honour the match further deepens uncertainty surrounding the club’s status, following their earlier announcement of withdrawal from the league—a decision that is yet to receive formal recognition from the GFA.
The situation raises broader questions about league integrity and scheduling as the season approaches its conclusion, with authorities expected to clarify the next steps regarding Hohoe United’s participation and pending fixtures.
