Hohoe United head coach Abdul Rahim Tijani believes his side’s relentless effort and tactical discipline were the foundations of their hard-fought victory over Asante Kotoko in Sunday’s Ghana Premier League encounter.

The newly promoted side delivered a spirited performance in their Week 13 clash at the Hohoe Sports Stadium, capped by a brilliant free-kick from William Oduro that proved enough to secure a 1–0 victory and all three points.

Reflecting on the game, Coach Tijani expressed deep satisfaction with the mindset and commitment shown by his squad, noting that the result was a direct reward for weeks of preparation.

“First, we have to congratulate the boys. They did so well. All I want to say is hard work pays. We really worked for this. We watched the previous games they played, and I told my boys we should go all out because that can let us survive or achieve our target. The game plan worked so well for us,” he said.

The win has propelled Hohoe United into eighth place on the league table as they continue to build momentum in their debut top-flight campaign.

They now turn their attention to their next assignment — a Week 14 meeting with Berekum Chelsea.
