Accra Hearts of Oak have officially announced the signing of former Bibiani GoldStars striker Prince Kwabena Owusu as part of their efforts to bolster the squad ahead of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.

The 28-year-old forward has put pen to paper on a two-year contract after successfully passing his medical examination, with the deal keeping him at the club until 2027.

Owusu had previously been on the radar of the Phobians, with the club attempting to secure his services during the January transfer window. However, the move failed to materialize at the time.

Following his return from Saudi Arabia, where he featured for third division side Al-Hedayah SC, Owusu is expected to add experience and attacking threat to Hearts of Oak’s frontline as the team aims to bounce back from a challenging campaign.

He will join the club’s pre-season preparations as the technical team, led by newly appointed head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani, seeks to assemble a competitive squad.

During his stint with Bibiani GoldStars, Owusu established himself as one of the most consistent forwards in the local league, scoring 16 goals and providing 7 assists across 86 Ghana Premier League appearances — a performance that attracted interest from several clubs both locally and abroad.
