Bibiani GoldStars head coach, Frimpong Manso, has attributed the club’s historic Ghana Premier League title triumph to sheer hard work and timely squad reinforcements during the second half of the season.

Under his guidance, GoldStars rose steadily through the standings and finished the season on top with 63 points, capping a remarkable campaign that saw them defeat Accra Lions 4-0 on the final day to seal their first-ever Premier League crown.

Speaking in an interview on Asempa FM’s SportsNite, the experienced gaffer revealed that upon assuming his role,  several key areas required immediate strengthening.

“The foundation or secret of winning the league is hard work,” Manso stated. “When I took over the job, Bibiani GoldStars were 7th in the second half of the season. Some positions were lacking and needed reinforcement, like the goalkeeping department and central defence.”

Frimpong Manso, who joined the Bibiani-based side after leaving Bofoakwa Tano, has now etched his name into club history, guiding them to both domestic glory and qualification for next season’s CAF Champions League.

The coach is expected to lead the Miners into their debut continental campaign, with plans already underway to further bolster the squad in anticipation of the challenges ahead.
