Bibiani GoldStars head coach Frimpong Manso has paid an emotional tribute to the late Michael Osei, dedicating the club’s historic Ghana Premier League title to the former manager who laid the foundation for the team’s success.

Osei, a former Asante Kotoko midfielder and highly respected figure in Ghanaian football, was instrumental in stabilizing the GoldStars setup in recent seasons. His contributions, according to Manso, made it easier for the team to grow and ultimately clinch their first-ever top-flight title.

Speaking on SportsNite on Asempa FM following GoldStars’ emphatic 4-0 win over Accra Lions on the final day of the 2024/25 season, Frimpong Manso highlighted the critical role Osei played in building the team’s structure before his untimely passing.

“We dedicate this trophy to our late coach Michael Osei. He set up a good foundation for the team to flourish,” Manso said.

Frimpong Manso led the Bibiani-based side to a league-best 63 points, finishing three ahead of second-placed Nations FC. The triumph has also secured them a spot in the 2025/26 CAF Champions League.

As the club celebrates this milestone, Manso insists that the legacy of Michael Osei will continue to inspire the team as they aim for further success on the continental stage.
