Newly crowned champions Bibiani Gold Stars will be officially decorated with the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League trophy in a grand coronation ceremony at the Duns Park on Saturday, June 14, 2025. The event will follow a ceremonial match against Western Region rivals Medeama SC.

The Miners etched their name into Ghanaian football folklore after a commanding 4-0 victory over Accra Lions on the final day of the season — a result that sealed their first-ever top-flight title and sent the town of Bibiani into scenes of jubilation.

Their success continues a regional dominance in the domestic league, marking the third straight title for clubs from the Western Region, with Medeama SC clinching it in 2022/23 and FC Samartex winning it in 2023/24.

The coronation match against Medeama will not only add glamour to the celebrations but also reignite local pride, as both sides look to assert supremacy in the Western football corridor. Though the league title has already been wrapped up, the fixture promises intensity and excitement, with kick-off scheduled for 3:00 PM local time (15:00 GMT).

After the match, Gold Stars will receive their medals and the coveted trophy from officials of the Ghana Football Association, in a ceremony expected to draw top dignitaries, club officials, supporters, and stakeholders.
