GFA to Hold Retreat to Enhance National Football Performance

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced plans to hold a Ghana Football Retreat on November 28, 2024, at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence.

The meeting, which will involve members and all stakeholders within Ghana’s football community, comes in response to the concerns and passion expressed by the public following the Black Stars’ recent struggles in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.

In a press release, the GFA emphasized the importance of this retreat, noting that the feedback received will directly inform strategies aimed at enhancing the performance of the Black Stars and other national teams.

The primary objective of the retreat is to engage stakeholders in a thorough discussion, soliciting their views and perspectives on the current state of Ghana football. With the Black Stars’ failure to qualify for the AFCON and the general underperformance of the national teams, the GFA aims to gather valuable input that can be used to develop a comprehensive roadmap for improving performance at both the national and international levels.
