GFA President Introduces Black Stars Technical Team to Sports Minister Ahead of World Cup Qualifiers
Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku, along with the Black Stars technical team, paid a courtesy call on the Minister for Sports and Recreation, Hon. Kofi Adams, earlier this afternoon.
The visit aimed to formally introduce the newly assembled technical team to the Minister and seek his support ahead of Ghana’s crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The meeting was attended by key members of the Black Stars technical setup, including head coach Otto Addo, technical director Winfried Schäfer, and assistant coach Desmond Ofei.

Okraku emphasized the importance of collaboration between the GFA and the Sports Ministry, stating that the team’s success would require collective effort.
Minister Kofi Adams warmly received the delegation and reiterated his commitment to working closely with the team to ensure Ghana’s qualification for the global tournament.
He also charged the technical team to remain united and focused on their task, stressing that qualification for the 2026 World Cup is a national priority.
