Ghana Premier League champions FC Samartex have announced Christopher Ennin as their new head coach for the ongoing 2024/25 season.

Ennin takes over from Nurudeen Amadu, who stepped down weeks ago after leading Samartex to their maiden Ghana Premier League triumph last season. Despite that historic achievement, the team has struggled in the current campaign, prompting the search for new leadership.

The club confirmed the appointment in an official statement shared on their Facebook page, which read:
“Chris is our man. We are delighted to confirm that Christopher Ennin has agreed to become the club’s new Head Coach.”

While the details of Ennin’s contract remain undisclosed, his appointment brings renewed hope to the Timber Giants as they aim to reignite their title defense.

Christopher Ennin brings a wealth of experience to the Nsenkyire Sports Complex. He previously managed Berekum Chelsea, where he earned recognition for his tactical prowess.

Most recently, Ennin was at the helm of Eswatini Premier League side Moneni Pirates, where he served as head coach during the summer.

Currently sitting 10th on the league table with 17 points from 14 matches, Samartex faces an uphill battle to defend their title.
