Engineers & Planners Injects $5 Million Into Ghana’s 2026 World Cup Fundraising Drive
Engineers & Planners, the mining giant owned by businessman Ibrahim Mahama, has stepped forward as the headline sponsor for Ghana’s 2026 World Cup fundraising initiative with a $5 million commitment.
The contribution represents one of the most significant corporate investments in Ghanaian football in recent years and is expected to offer crucial financial support as the Black Stars build toward the tournament in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Ghana, drawn in Group L with England, Croatia, and Panama, will require extensive preparation to compete at the highest level.
The fundraising campaign has therefore been launched to strengthen key areas such as logistics, training programmes, and general team readiness.
