Black Stars Management Committee Has Gone Unpaid Across Several Administrations – Fred Pappoe

Former Ghana Football Association (GFA) Vice President, Fred Pappoe, has disclosed that members of the Black Stars Management Committee have not received financial compensation for their work across multiple administrations.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s Sportsnite Show, Pappoe clarified that the issue is not new, as successive administrations have also failed to provide payment.

He highlighted a common misconception that committee members are financially rewarded for their roles when, in reality, their work is largely voluntary and driven by a passion for Ghanaian football.

“Despite the lack of payment, the committee plays a crucial role in team management, logistics, and decision-making,” he stated.

His remarks add to ongoing discussions about financial accountability in Ghanaian football, particularly regarding how funds are allocated within the national team setup. The revelation raises questions about the sustainability of such a structure and whether reforms are needed to ensure fair compensation for those handling critical administrative duties.
