Black Queens head coach Kim Lars Björkegren has unveiled a 24-player roster for Ghana’s upcoming international friendly against European champions England, scheduled for next month.

The list features a balanced mix of seasoned campaigners and rising talents, with influential figures such as captain Portia Boakye, Doris Boaduwaa, Josephine Bonsu, Chantelle Boye, and goalkeeper Cynthia Konlan all included.

The fixture comes on the back of Ghana’s outstanding run in the WAFCON qualifiers, where the Queens cruised to a 7–0 aggregate victory over Egypt to secure their place at the next edition of the tournament in Morocco.

With qualification sealed, the clash against England will serve as the team’s sole competitive outing before March — a crucial opportunity for Björkegren and his squad to measure their progress against one of the world’s elite sides.

The Black Queens are expected to assemble in Ghana shortly to begin a brief training camp before flying to the United Kingdom for what promises to be their most high-profile match in recent years.

England’s Lionesses will host the game on December 2 at St Mary’s Stadium, the home ground of Southampton FC.
