Asante Kotoko Seal Deal for FC Samartex Midfielder Lord Hilary Adabo
Asante Kotoko have officially reached a full agreement with FC Samartex for the transfer of talented defensive midfielder Lord Hilary Adabo in a deal reportedly worth GH¢200,000.
The 21-year-old standout from the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season has agreed personal terms with the Porcupine Warriors and is expected to undergo a medical on Monday before signing a four-year contract with the Kumasi-based giants.
His departure was confirmed by Samartex on Saturday in an official statement acknowledging the player’s impact and extending their best wishes:
“We have reached an agreement for the transfer of our midfielder, Lord Hillary Adabo to Asante Kotoko. We are grateful to the ‘Midfield Lord’ for his selfless service to FC Samartex and wish him well in his future endeavors.”
Adabo joined Samartex from Real Tamale United ahead of last season and swiftly became a key figure in the Timber Boys’ midfield, starting 33 out of 34 league games. K
Kotoko, who are strengthening their ranks ahead of their return to continental football via the CAF Confederation Cup, view Adabo’s arrival as a significant boost to their midfield.
