Asante Kotoko End Losing Streak with 2-0 Triumph Over Aduana Stars
Asante Kotoko bounced back to form with a confident 2-0 win against Aduana FC at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park on Sunday, halting a four-game losing streak.
The Porcupine Warriors took an early lead in the 10th minute through Patrick Asiedu’s sensational free-kick. The midfielder’s strike hit the underside of the crossbar before finding the back of the net.
Kotoko doubled their advantage in the 60th minute, courtesy of Albert Amoah. Making his return from injury, Amoah showcased his sharp instincts, positioning himself perfectly to slot home a low cross and secure the crucial victory for his side.
However, the second half was overshadowed by a delay after an alleged incident involving Aduana supporters entering the match officials’ dressing room but play eventually resumed under tightened security measures.
The win lifts Kotoko to seventh place on the league table with 18 points. Aduana Stars, on the other hand, remain in 14th place with 12 points.
