Aristica Sounds Transfer Alarm After Aduana Stall at Wenchi

Aduana FC head coach Cioarba Aristica has issued a blunt assessment of his squad’s title credentials, warning that the club’s ambitions in the Ghana Premier League hinge on significant reinforcements in the upcoming transfer window.

The Romanian tactician delivered his verdict following Aduana’s 2-2 draw against Young Apostles in Wenchi, a result that further dented the Fire Boys’ momentum in the title race. Despite rallying from behind to earn a point, Aristica made it clear that effort alone will not bridge the growing gaps in his team.

In explaining his concerns, the Aduana coach pointed to a mounting injury list that has disrupted the spine of his side.
“You know I have injuries. One central defender, our captain Alex Boakye, is injured, and the quality that replaces him is not the same,” he said. “The same is happening in our midfield, where Seidu Saana was suspended and is also injured.”

Aristica also highlighted the absence of his most reliable attacking outlet as a major setback.
“The striker, Emmanuel Marfo, who is our top scorer with six goals, is very important to us,” he added.

While the Fire Boys showed resilience to avoid defeat, Aristica admitted that the current squad lacks the depth and balance required to sustain a title push across a demanding season. According to him, he had already made his position clear to the club’s hierarchy before the Wenchi encounter.

“I gave one clear message to our management before this game,” he revealed. “I told them that I needed some positions filled because if we go with this squad, I will not have a chance of winning the league title.”

The Aduana boss insisted his stance is driven by honesty rather than frustration, stressing that decisive action in the transfer market could still revive their title hopes.
“I tell the truth, and if the management listens and brings the five players for the positions that I need, it is possible to fight for the top spot,” Aristica said. “If they do not listen to me, I will not have the team to go and fight for the league title.”

Aduana’s recent form has underlined his concerns. The club has managed just one win in their last five league outings, alongside three draws and a defeat. That run has seen them slip to third place on the table with 29 points, trailing Medeama and Asante Kotoko, who are level on 30 points.

With the transfer window approaching, all eyes will be on Aduana’s management to see whether they heed their coach’s warning—or risk watching their title challenge fade away.
