Bechem United head coach Kobina Amissah has placed strong emphasis on discipline and efficiency as his side readies itself for a crucial Ghana Premier League encounter against Berekum Chelsea this weekend.

The Hunters will host the Blues at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park on Sunday, January 4, with Amissah making it clear that improving both composure and focus on the pitch will be vital if his team is to secure maximum points.

While acknowledging his side’s struggles in front of goal this season, the Bechem boss believes greater discipline could unlock better performances and results.

“Our highest goals in a match have been two. We need to work on scoring more. We want our players to be disciplined on the field. If they are disciplined, things will be better,” Amissah told Bechem United TV.

The coach also revealed that the squad is working hard to rediscover its competitive edge following a difficult spell, insisting the players are determined to deliver a response in front of their home supporters.

“The boys are trying to get back to their winning mentality. So on Sunday, it will be a different game against Berekum Chelsea. We want to make the supporters happy by winning that particular match,” he added.

Sunday’s Week 17 fixture is scheduled for a 3:00 pm kick-off and presents Bechem United with an opportunity to steady their campaign and reconnect with their fans through a positive result.
