Karela United head coach Nurudeen Amadu has praised his team’s resilience after they battled to a 1–1 draw against Swedru All Blacks, describing the result as a crucial boost in their quest for balance and security in the Ghana Premier League.

The away fixture at the Swedru Sports Stadium on Sunday proved demanding, but Karela remained organised throughout the contest and showed character to respond after falling behind, earning a deserved share of the spoils.

Speaking after the match, Amadu highlighted the tactical discipline shown by his players, stressing that preparation and strict adherence to instructions were key to navigating a difficult environment.

“It was a very difficult game. We knew it was going to be difficult. They are a very good side, and when you come here you have to be tactically aware and encourage your players to remain disciplined and follow the instructions that were issued,” Amadu said.

The experienced coach also explained why avoiding defeat on the road was especially important, noting the impact back-to-back away losses can have on a team’s season.

“So I think that became important here. This is good for us and we are delighted, because we are going away again. If you lose two away matches, it means you go down towards the bottom. So this one point is a welcome result for us.”

The stalemate leaves Karela United sitting sixth on the league table with 24 points, a position Amadu believes underlines the importance of grinding out results away from home as the campaign continues.
