Alhaji Grusah Questions Proposed Third Term for GFA President Kurt Okraku
Outspoken football administrator and owner of King Faisal Football Club, Alhaji Karim Grusah, has vehemently opposed the proposed third term for Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku, questioning the achievements of the current administration.
Speaking in an interview on Sportsnite on Asempa FM, Grusah did not mince words as he criticized the leadership of the GFA under Okraku’s tenure.
“What has Kurt Okraku done for Ghana football to deserve another term? What does he mean?” Grusah quizzed.
He went further to express his dissatisfaction with the current state of football in the country, claiming that the game has declined significantly under Okraku’s leadership.
“Ghana football is at its lowest under Kurt Okraku’s administration so he doesn’t deserve that term. We are not naive,” he added.
The GFA is expected to hold its 31st Ordinary Congress on August 12, 2025, where member bodies will decide whether to approve a statute amendment proposal allowing the President to seek a third term in office — a move that has sparked widespread debate across the football fraternity.
Grusah’s comments add to growing public scrutiny, as stakeholders continue to assess the performance of the current administration and the future direction of football in Ghana.
