Team Ghana’s badminton squad delivered a commanding performance on Day 3 of the 1st African School Games in Algeria, cruising to emphatic victories across multiple singles events.

In the girls’ singles, Moslena Adu was in unstoppable form as she dismantled her opponent from Benin with a dominant 21-10, 21-3 win, showcasing her superior agility and shot control.

Her compatriot, Racheal Quarcoo, followed with an equally confident display, overcoming Algeria’s challenge in straight sets, 21-11, 21-10, much to the delight of Team Ghana supporters present at the venue.

The boys’ singles saw Takyi Adu unleash a badminton masterclass against Djibouti, conceding only 7 points in total as he powered through to a 21-4, 21-3 victory.

These impressive results mark a strong statement from Ghana’s badminton team as they progress in the competition with their eyes firmly set on medal finishes.
