Ghana’s capital, Accra, is set to become the epicenter of African football diplomacy and governance as it hosts the first sitting of the newly elected Confederation of African Football (CAF) Executive Committee on Saturday, April 26, 2025.

The landmark gathering will take place at the luxurious Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City, symbolizing a renewed commitment to excellence, professionalism, and continental unity within African football administration.

This meeting marks the first official engagement of the newly constituted CAF Executive Committee, led by the re-elected CAF President, who secured an overwhelming mandate from all 54 Member Associations earlier this year.

A key highlight of the gathering will be the election of CAF’s new Vice-Presidents, a critical governance step to ensure capable and strategic leadership in various portfolios across the federation.

This will strengthen CAF’s executive structure and lay the foundation for efficient policy implementation and progressive football reform.

The committee’s agenda is expected to address pressing and transformative matters, including:

  • Review and enhancement of competition formats,

  • Acceleration of grassroots football development,

  • Infrastructure investment across member nations, and

  • Introduction of new football development initiatives designed to raise performance standards across the continent.

Beyond the administrative discussions, the event will also serve as a platform for fostering continental unity and inter-federation cooperation. Leading administrators, football stakeholders, and policymakers from across Africa will gather to align on a shared vision for progress and innovation in the sport.
