Ghanaian teenager Abdul Aziz Issah has completed a return to Barcelona Atletic on a renewed loan agreement that will see him remain at the Spanish club until June 2026.

The 19-year-old forward initially joined Barcelona Atletic from Dreams FC on loan for the 2024/25 season, but made only two appearances despite showing promise early in his spell.

Barcelona opted not to trigger the initial purchase clause in his contract, resulting in Issah’s return to Ghana at the end of the campaign. However, renewed negotiations between the parties have now yielded a new loan deal that brings the talented attacker back to Catalonia.

Although his opportunities in Spain were limited, Issah continued to impress on the international stage. He starred for Ghana’s U20 team, scoring the opener in their AFCON U20 quarterfinal clash with Egypt and picking up a Man of the Match award earlier in the tournament. He also earned his senior debut at the Unity Cup in May 2025, reinforcing his credentials.

Barcelona Atletic are hopeful that Issah’s second stint at the club will bring more opportunities and development for the highly-rated Ghanaian forward as he continues his journey in European football.
