Watch out for Asamoah Gyan – Sammi Awuku announces [Video]
Watch out for Asamoah Gyan, these are the words of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for Akuapem North, Sammi Awuku.
In his view, the Ghanaian football legend should not be underestimated because he has brilliant ideas to revive Ghana’s ailing sports sector.
Mr. Awuku made this known on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Thursday, after Asamoah Gyan was spotted at Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s recent address on Wednesday, February 7.
When the host inquired why people should watch out for Asamoah Gyan, Mr. Awuku said, “I won’t comment on it, but all I can say is that we should watch out for Asamoah Gyan.”
He mentioned that, Dr. Bawumia appreciates people with great ideas.
“Watch out for him. Dr. Bawumia likes people with great ideas. He is his good friend, and so watch out for him; you will soon hear from him.” he said.
Mr. Awuku described Gyan as “one guy who has solid ideas and is an iconic figure. Love him or hate him.”
Going forward, he encouraged the former Black Stars captain to show more interest in policy and politics.
“He may never know. Now that he is on retirement and resting, he should come and show his prowess in politics.” he added.
