Nations FC head coach, Kasim Ocansey Mingle, has underlined the importance of securing all three points when his side takes on Samartex this Sunday in a crucial Ghana Premier League Matchday 32 clash.

The highly anticipated fixture will be staged at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex in Abrankese, where Nations FC will look to tighten their grip on the top spot of the league standings. With three games left to play, Nations FC sit at the summit with 57 points, closely followed by several title contenders, while Samartex occupy sixth place with 48 points.

Speaking ahead of the match, Coach Mingle acknowledged the challenge posed by the Timber Giants but remained confident in his team’s preparations and ambitions.

“We are preparing for the match. Samartex is a formidable team so we are preparing well to face them,” Mingle said. “We need victory against Samartex at all cost to cushion our league title ambitions. We have to win to maintain the lead.”

The former Bechem United boss admitted that pressure is building as the season nears its end, but believes his side has the mental strength to handle it.

“Truth be told, there seems to be pressure but we will manage it,” he noted. “We thank our fans for the massive support throughout the season. We will need their presence at the stadium on Sunday.”

With the league title within reach, Nations FC will aim to deliver a performance worthy of champions as they prepare for their final two fixtures following the Samartex showdown. The home crowd’s support could prove decisive as Mingle’s men look to stay ahead in one of the tightest title races in recent seasons.
