Mohammed Kudus Set for Tottenham Move in £55 Million Deal
Ghana international Mohammed Kudus is on the verge of completing a high-profile transfer to Tottenham Hotspur after the North London club agreed a £55 million deal with West Ham United for his services.
The 24-year-old attacking midfielder is expected to undergo a medical today, after which he will sign a six-year contract that will keep him at the club until 2031.
Kudus has reportedly identified Spurs as his preferred destination, with personal terms already agreed in principle and no obstacles anticipated in finalising the deal.
The former Ajax star joined West Ham in the summer of 2023 for €41.5 million and made a notable impact in his debut Premier League season, scoring five goals and providing four assists in 35 league appearances.
While his statistical output slightly dipped compared to his first season in England, Kudus remained a standout performer, consistently attracting interest from top European clubs thanks to his versatility, technical skill, and work rate.
Tottenham had initially submitted a £50 million offer for the Ghanaian earlier this month, which was turned down by West Ham. However, a revised bid of £55 million convinced the Hammers to part ways with the talented forward.
Kudus’ release clause — active only within the first 10 days of July — had priced him higher for several other Premier League clubs, giving Spurs an edge in the negotiations.
Should the deal be finalised, Kudus will become Tottenham’s second major attacking signing of the summer, following the permanent acquisition of French forward Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich.
