Middlesbrough Snap Up Ghanaian Teenager Listowell Hinneh
English Championship side Middlesbrough have confirmed the addition of highly rated Ghanaian youngster Listowell Lord Hinneh, with the deal awaiting international clearance before it is fully completed.
The 18-year-old forward earned his move to Teesside after catching the eye during a successful trial spell, convincing the club’s technical team of his promise and long-term potential.
Hinneh is not unfamiliar with top-level football in Ghana, having featured in the Premier League for both Berekum Chelsea and giants Asante Kotoko across the past two seasons, making five league appearances in total despite his young age.
Developed at the Samba Stars Academy, the teenager has also pulled on the national colours at youth level, a testament to his pedigree and growth within Ghana’s football system.
Middlesbrough see the signing as part of their broader plan to invest in emerging talent, with Hinneh expected to begin his journey in the academy or Under-21 side while adjusting to the demands of English football.
The club is now awaiting international clearance, after which the young forward will officially link up with his new teammates at the Riverside Stadium.
