Asante Kotoko head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has reaffirmed his ambition to add more silverware to his collection after guiding his team to the MTN FA Cup semifinals.

The Porcupine Warriors secured a 2-1 victory over Division One side True Democracy in the quarterfinals on Sunday, March 30, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium. Goals from Saaka Dauda and Kwame Opoku ensured Kotoko’s progress to the last four.

Following the match, Ogum emphasized his hunger for success, stating: “The aim of every coach is to win trophies… the aim of every player is to win trophies so that one day you can be remembered.”

With a semifinal clash against Berekum Chelsea ahead, the Kotoko boss insists the team will stay focused on their objectives.

“To me, we have to take it game by game. We are going to play against Berekum Chelsea in the semis. We have to now switch our attention to the league. When the time is due, we refocus to that, but I want to tell you we are working harder to make sure we get the results.”

In addition to their FA Cup run, Kotoko currently sit at the top of the Ghana Premier League, keeping them in contention for a domestic double.
