Kotoko’s Emmanuel Antwi elated about Black Stars call up
Asante Kotoko midfielder Emmanuel Antwi has expressed his joy upon receiving his debut call-up to the Black Stars.
Coach Otto Addo announced his squad for the AFCON qualifiers against Angola and Niger yesterday and included three local players. Addo invited Isaac Afful of FC Samartex who was part of the previous squad. Razak Simpson of Nations Football Club and Emmanuel Antwi of Asante Kotoko have also been called.
Speaking to his club media after the call-up, Antwi revealed it is a dream come true.
“I have been waiting for this opportunity for a very long time and it’s a dream come true and it shows I made the right decision by joining Asante Kotoko.” He said.
Joining Asante Kotoko this season from Great Olympics, Emmanuel Antwi has been exceptional for the Porcupine Warriors. The versatile 24-year-old has featured in all games this season in the GPL. He has a goal in his name.
Ghana will face Angola on 15th November 2024 at the Estádio 11 de Novembro in Luanda before playing the final game against Niger at the Accra sports stadium on 18th November.
