Asante Kotoko defender Patrick Asiedu has set his sights on winning the 2024/25 MTN FA Cup, promising the club’s loyal supporters a trophy at the end of the season.

The Porcupine Warriors will face Sekondi Eleven Wise in the Round of 16 on Wednesday, marking their return to the competition following the league’s resumption.

Asiedu played a crucial role in Kotoko’s 2-0 victory over Legon Cities in the Ghana Premier League over the weekend. The former Berekum Chelsea left-back opened the scoring with a stunning strike, helping his side secure all three points at the Baba Yara Stadium.

Speaking after the game, Asiedu emphasized the team’s determination to lift the FA Cup and dedicate it to their passionate supporters.

“We play Sekondi Eleven Wise on Wednesday, and we will go all out to win this game. We promise to win the FA Cup for the fans this season,” he declared.

The talented left-back has been in fine form this season, making 17 appearances, scoring twice, and registering three assists. As Kotoko push for both league and cup success, Asiedu remains confident that the team can achieve their goals.
