Karela United Bolster Defense with Signing of Issah Ibrahim

Ghana Premier League side Karela United have announced the permanent signing of former Accra Lions captain Issah Ibrahim, as part of their strategic squad rebuild ahead of the 2025/26 season.

The 21-year-old right-back completed the move following a standout individual season with Accra Lions, where he made 24 league appearances during the 2024/25 campaign. Despite his consistent performances, Ibrahim was unable to prevent his former club from suffering relegation.

Ibrahim’s arrival is expected to provide added depth and competition to the defensive ranks of the “Pride and Passion” side as they prepare for a fresh start under new direction.

The terms of the deal were not disclosed by the club, but Karela United are hopeful the addition of the talented full-back will strengthen their backline as they aim for a more competitive showing in the upcoming season.
