GPL: Medeama Coach Ibrahim Tanko Confident of Victory Against Bechem United
Medeama Sporting Club head coach Ibrahim Tanko has assured fans that his side is fully prepared to secure victory in their Ghana Premier League clash against Bechem United this weekend.
Following a month-long suspension of the league, top-flight football is set to resume with several exciting fixtures, including the showdown between Medeama SC and Bechem United on Sunday.
Speaking ahead of the game, Tanko acknowledged the team’s recent disappointment in the MTN FA Cup but expressed optimism about bouncing back with a strong performance.
“We are very happy that football is coming back. It was unfortunate that we couldn’t play for a month, but now we have the chance to get back to work,” he told Medi TV.
He also admitted that their early FA Cup exit was a setback, but emphasized the players’ determination to respond positively.
“It’s unfortunate we are out of the MTN FA Cup. We definitely disappointed our fans, but I have seen how hard the boys have trained this week. The energy, the focus, and the effort give me confidence that we will make the fans happy this weekend,” Tanko added.
Medeama SC will host Bechem United at the TnA Stadium on Sunday, with kickoff set for 3:00 PM GMT.
