Public Relations Officer of Hearts of Oak, Kwame Opare Addo, has affirmed that the Phobians are fully prepared for their penultimate Ghana Premier League fixture against Legon Cities, despite the latter’s confirmed relegation.

The two sides will square off on Sunday, June 2, at the University of Ghana Stadium, with Hearts of Oak seeking a vital win to finish the season strongly. Although Legon Cities have already dropped to the lower division, Opare Addo insists that the game will be approached with full seriousness.

“God willing Sunday at the Legon Sports Stadium we are playing Legon Cities. They are virtually eliminated from the competition but yet again it doesn’t give you the bragging rights of strength to beat them,” Opare Addo said in an interview with Peace FM.

He added that Hearts of Oak are aware of the threat a relegated side can pose, especially when playing without pressure, and warned against complacency.

“They have already been relegated, they don’t have anything to lose. They will come in prepared and motivated to make a good impact before they leave.”

Hearts of Oak have had a challenging campaign and will be looking to end the season on a high. With just two games remaining, a win against Legon Cities could prove crucial in securing a respectable finish on the league table and restoring confidence among their supporters.
